David Lovejoy is a Managing Director at Greycourt. David focuses on private markets research and has extensive domestic and international corporate leadership experience in financial services and a proven record in corporate development and strategy, corporate restructuring and starting companies. David concentrates on the research process for a variety of global private markets strategies including venture capital, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine debt and secondary investments.
Prior to joining Greycourt, David was Vice Chairman at Mellon Bank Corporation where he was responsible for corporate development and strategy. While a member of the Office of the Chairman at Mellon, David focused on all issues relating to the corporation’s strategic direction, development and growth. He was accountable for determining and executing the organization’s M&A strategy and the performance of a wide range of the corporation’s businesses. Prior to joining Mellon, David was the Vice Chairman of Security Pacific Corporation.
David has authored several white papers and is a frequent speaker on the topic of global private markets. He is currently Vice Chair of the Board of First Internet Bancorp-Lead Independent Director, Vice Chairman of the board of First Internet Bank of Indiana, and is also President of the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh. He has served as a director of the Los Angeles Branch of the 12th District Federal Reserve Bank, and was a director of Phelps Dodge Corporation. David is also a past chairman of the Board of Family House.
